About

The Abbey 345 Pre-School is a committee run charity that has been providing pre-school care and education for the local community for over 30 years.
The committee is made up of parent and staff volunteers and ensures the smooth running of the Pre-School. The majority of the committee are parents thus ensuring that parents have the major voice in the future of the Pre-School, guided and supported by staff members. Our mutual aim is to deliver the best possible outcomes for the families and children who use our setting.

We believe that children learn most effectively through play and exploration and that our role is to provide a safe stimulating environment where, with the support of our experienced and enthusiastic staff, children can develop at their own individual pace.
We offer a wide range of activities and situations to encourage children to investigate, experiment, use their imagination and extend their social skills.
We deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum that promotes learning in six interlinked areas – these are;

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication, Language and Literacy
  • Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World
  • Physical Development
  • Creative Development
